Tim Grey is regarded as one of the top educators in digital photography and imaging, offering clear guidance on complex subjects through his writing and speaking.
Tim has written more than a dozen books on digital imaging for photographers, including the best-selling Real World Digital Photography and Color Confidence. With the help of video2brain, he has produced over a dozen video training titles on a wide variety of subjects. Tim has also had hundreds of articles published in magazines such as Digital Photo Pro, Outdoor Photographer, and others. He publishes the Ask Tim Grey email newsletter, as well as the Digital Darkroom Quarterly magazine. Tim teaches through workshops, seminars, and appearances at major events around the world.
Tim’s work combines several of his greatest passions: photography, technology, teaching, writing, and travel. All of these have been part of his life in some way for as long as he can remember. He has been focused on digital photography and imaging for over 15 years.
TUE JUNE 26 10:00 to 12:00 - Photographer's Workflow in Lightroom - If you've ever felt like you couldn't find a particular photo you were looking for, you won't want to miss this session presented by Tim Grey. You'll learn how to take full advantage of all the image-management and organizational benefits of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. From importing images with organization in mind, to assigning ratings and filtering your images, to keywording, and even plotting your images on the map, you'll learn a wide variety of techniques to help you keep your images organized. You'll then see how you can use filters within Lightroom to locate specific images quickly.
WED JUNE 27 10:00 to 12:00 - Optimizing Photos in Lightroom 4 This session will focus on Lightroom's Develop module, showing you how to take advantage of all of the various adjustments available to make your images look their best. This will include in-depth coverage of the new updates in Lightroom 4 that affect how you approach your images. You'll learn how to apply optimal tonal adjustments, color adjustments, and targeted adjustments, including tricks for getting the best results for a wide variety of different circumstances.
WED JUNE 27 1:00 to 3:00 - Image Cleanup in Photoshop CS6 Cleaning up blemishes and distractions in your photographs can have a huge impact on the final image quality, and performing that cleanup work properly is critical. In this session, Tim Grey will demonstrate the various tools available for image cleanup in Photoshop, and will guide you through the best techniques for using those tools. You'll learn how to remove unwanted elements from a photo, how to reduce the appearance of noise in an image, how to resolve localized color problems, and much more.
WED JUNE 27 3:30 to 5:30 - Targeted Adjustments in Photoshop CS6 The ability to apply adjustments that only affect a specific area of your photographic images represents one of the most powerful ways to control the final interpretation of a photo. In this session, Tim Grey will guide you through the best techniques for selecting specific areas of a photo, applying adjustments that only affect those selected areas, blending multiple exposures, and much more, all focused on helping make your photos look their very best.
Randy works as an Applications Consultant with Adobe Systems, with 30 years of real world experience helping business and commercial publishers improve their print production operations, and more than 20 in helping publishers, printers and design professionals use computerized design and production tools. He has learned a lot about what does -- and doesn't -- work in a successful production environment, including solutions for making the most from legacy content and enhancing its presentation with new media. Randy also offers online conferencing system setup and presentation training/consulting services.Randy is an original member of the AdobeProfessionals Consultant Group, and does presentations for Adobe throughout the country. His production studio and consulting practice is based in Portland, Maine.

David Hogue is the director of information design and usability at Fluid, Inc., a digital design and development firm in San Francisco specializing in e-commerce websites and RIAs. He uses his training in applied psychology and cognitive science to study how people learn and work in the digital world, and develops workflow models and user interfaces that meet their needs and expectations effectively and efficiently. David has worked on projects for a diverse range of clients including Charles Schwab, Warner Bros., The North Face, Reebok, and Timberland.

What is complexity? Where does it come from? How do we design for
simplicity? We'll discuss sources of complexity, when and where it
occurs, and how much complexity may be good for the experience. We'll
explore some techniques for identifying opportunities to simplify the
user experience by examining context scenarios, design, and technology.
