Description

Joseph Brodsky Memorial Fund invites you to an evening of poetry and conversation with Tomas Venclova, a Lithuanian Poet, a dissident and a co-Founder of a Lithuanian Helskinski Group, a professor of Russian and Polish Literature at Yale University and a great friend of Joseph Brodsky.

Most Recently, Tomas Venclova has published a book of conversations with Ellen Hinsey (Magnetic North: Conversations with Tomas Venclova) in which he reflects on his life and work. Special mention in the book is reserved for literary greats that shaped his creativity and his life: Boris Pasternak, Anna Akhmatova, Joseph Brodsky and Czeslaw Milosz.

Poet and publisher Irina Mashinski will fascilitate a conversation and a poetry reading.

Refreshments and food will be served.

$50 of the ticket price is tax deductible.
