Cristian Dimitrius, Wildlife Filmmaker & Photographer
Cristian Dimitrius is a Brazilian Emmy Award Winning cinematographer, photographer, biologist and television presenter for global wildlife and natural history films. On land or underwater, from ants to whales, Cristian's innovative cinematography and unorthodox camera techniques help revolutionize the way people see and perceive wildlife. Cristian pushes boundaries of wildlife filmmaking with amazing still images and stunning video sequences, made with the most advanced camera technologies available. He is one of the most experienced cinematographers working in the Pantanal, Cerrado, Amazon and other Brazilian biomes. In addition to film credits, Cristian has shot and produced for networks including BBC, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Animal Planet, and Globo TV.
Before working for high-profile natural history channels, Cristian started his career as a Divemaster, shooting customers on regular dives. His mission is to inspire people to fall in love with our planet through his images, arousing the desire for knowledge and conservation of the place we call home. In his talk, Cristian will offer tips on how to make nature movies for those interested in the career or for those simply curious about how to best share experiences from the natural world.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There is no age limit, however most of our Tide Talks tend to be geared toward an adult audience unless otherwise specificed. Complimentary wine & beer is provided to those 21 and older only- please bring ID as it will be checked by a team member.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Free parking is offered in the Florida Aquarium parking lot
Can I walk around the Aquarium before or after the event?
No. The Aquarium is closed before, during, and after the talk and we ask that guests respect that and only utilize the main elevator or direct 3rd floor stairs for entry and exit to the Vinik Channelside Rooms.

Can I update my registration information?
Yes, please update any guest number changes or cancellations to your reservation as soon as possible prior to the event.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
A printied ticket is not required. Please check in at the Main Entrance to the Aquarium when you arrive and those that have RSVPed will be let in at 5:45 PM.
