  • Reduce stress & tension

  • Overcome back/neck pain or arthritis

  • Lose weight & feel stronger

  • Relieve fatigue, insomnia or depression,

  • Heal allergies or weak immune system

  • Feel stronger, more focused & more alive

STRONG GENTLE CLASS
: This will be a strong, gentle class for beginners and experienced yogis. This class will also work for people with physical challenges who can still walk, sit in a chair, & stand.  We begin with the premise that your body and breath are your most immediate and direct teachers, and that by cultivating respect and compassion for them, you can learn the deeper lessons of challenges like chronic tension/stress, fatigue/insomnia, allergies, depression/anxiety, digestive problems, or other dis-ease.

Using lots of props (blankets, chairs, blocks, straps, bolsters), we will help you find comfortable ways to safely get into and out of yoga poses, and how to sequence poses in ways that optimize their effects for your specific goals and challenges.

INSTRUCTOR:

Bart Church suffered from chronic pain and digestive problems in his early twenties and found amazing relief by studying therapeutic yoga for 10 years under senior Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers.  He then studied Pranayama, meditation, and Ayurveda under senior students of Baba Hari Das at Mt. Madonna Center, and has been teaching therapeutic yoga for more than 18 years.
