About this event

In-person gatherings at Grace Church will follow CDC guidelines as well as required health and safety procedures outlined by the Diocese of Atlanta. Some of these guidelines are detailed below and will be sent in your confirmation email so you have a copy for your records.

Evening Prayer will be held in the parking lot at the corner of Boulevard and Brenau Avenue (or under the covered driveway along Boulevard in inclement weather) on Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 6:30 PM. If you would like to attend, please register/reserve a spot for each household member in attendance. Space is limited to 50 total (46 parishioners and 4 worship leaders) and registration is required for contact tracing purposes if necessary. Please note that registration closes two hours prior to Evening Prayer. Walk ins cannot be accommodated at this time.

BEFORE YOU COME

Please monitor yourself and members of your household for any symptoms of illness. Before you head to the church, please ask yourself the following questions:

  • Has anyone in your household had a fever (temperature of 100.4°F or greater), new cough, shortness of breath, or other symptom of COVID-19 in the last three (3) days?
  • Has anyone in the household had close contact with someone with COVID-19 or who has been exposed to COVID-19?
  • Has anyone in the household tested positive or awaiting results from a COVID-19 test?

If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, please refrain from attending Evening Prayer for a period of at least fourteen (14) days. Links to our online worship opportunities can be found on the Grace@Home page of our website.

Restrooms at the church are available for emergency use only, please plan accordingly.

Please bring your own chair if you have one. There will be extras available at church if needed.

ARRIVING AT GRACE

As an act of hospitality and care for others, all persons over age two (2) are required to wear a protective face covering at all times when on the Grace Church campus - even outdoors. Please bring an appropriate face covering with you. Your mask should cover your nose and mouth completely.

Please maintain a six (6) foot distance between you and others who are not part of your household at all times when on the Grace Church campus. Please refrain from physical contact with parishioners that are not part of your household. Touch free greetings, while maintaining at least 6 feet of distance, are highly recommended and encouraged!

DURING THE SERVICE

No printed materials or books will be available. You are welcome to bring your Book of Common Prayer from home. The worship bulletin will also be accessible online if you wish to print and bring it with you or download it to a mobile device. (Please make sure the volume is muted.)

We will not pass a collection plate. We ask you to give, as you are able, online or via the VANCO GivePlus Mobile app. Checks can be mailed to Grace Episcopal Church, 422 Brenau Ave., Gainesville, Georgia 30501.

We are practicing spiritual communion as we have been doing on our live-stream and zoom worship services. There will be no physical Eucharist distribution.
