About the organizer

Beat the Streets Detroit is an organization that believes all kids should have the opportunity to better themselves through the sport of wrestling.

We make this CASE for wrestling in the "D" through our Beat the Streets Detroit program.

  • Comprehensive - Beat the Streets Detroit focuses on maximizing participants' potential in academic success and personal achievements through the sport of wrestling
  • Accessible - Beat the Streets Detroit meets kids where they are - in several neighborhoods throughout the city of Detroit
  • Safe - Concussions and traumatic brain injuries inherent in high contact/collision sports are a cause of concern - wrestling provides a much safer alternative
  • Equal Opportunity - For both boys and girls, the sport of wrestling develops life-changing skills
