We're back for the first time since 2019! Join us for an evening full of tales of ships gone missing! The evening's program consists of four outstanding speakers telling true tales of maritime disasters on the Great Lakes. Programs include:
Eastland: Chicago’s Deadliest Day. Documentary producer, Harvey Moshman of Chicago presents highlights of his latest film about the capsizing of the passenger steamer Eastland in Chicago in 1915. Three years after the Titanic, this disaster claimed the lives of more than 800 passengers!
Two Brothers, Two Ships, and Two Shipwrecks. Legendary shipwreck hunter David Trotter is back to tell the tale of his recent discovery of the Water Witch with an interesting twist.
Expedition Unknown: The Vanished Airliner. MSRA’s Valerie vanHeest provides a behind-the-scenes look at MSRA’s appearance on the popular TV show “Expedition Unknown” with host Josh Gates. See how "reality" TV shows really happen!
Bottled Goodbyes. Famed documentarian and diver Ric Mixter investigates and adds new information to famous and unknown messages found after shipping disasters.
