Event description

Description

The Evansville (IN) Promise Zone (PZ) is excited to announce its 3rd annual convening of the Federal Partners. The PZ designation calls the partners and stakeholders to action and to work collaboratively and strategically with community residents and local leaders to meet the challenges identified by the community. This includes increasing employment opportunities, expanding economic conditions, improving educational opportunities, reducing violent crime and increasing public security and safety, promoting health and access to healthcare, and providing access to quality affordable housing.

The Evansville Promise will host an optional Promise Zone tour and by invitation only evening social networking hour on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. The Federal Convening is Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Based on attendee feedback, the convening will continue to function as a workshop with breakout sessions that align with community goals and offer more breakout session options to include legislative updates and funding opportunities.
