Join us for the 5th annual Evanston Oktoberfest! Come out with friends and family to enjoy an afternoon of beer tasting, delicious local food, live music and traditional Oktoberfest entertainment, all the while supporting Downtown Evanston, the organization that keeps downtown a vibrant, clean and fun place to be!

We're excited to welcome 18 craft breweries to share their seasonal fall and Oktoberfest brews. All ticket holders will receive an Oktoberfest stein and a tasting card valid for 12 6 oz tastings.

Plus, we'll have plenty for you to do and to eat during the fest. Check out the entertainment schedule below and get ready to have fun. Come dressed in a traditional German outfit (lederhosen or drindl) to take part in costume contest! Winners will receive a 1 Liter Oktoberfest glass stein! Food will be available for purchase from local restaurants and food trucks including Prairie Moon, Smylie Brothers, La Cocinita, The Fat Shallot and others coming soon.

Plus, Wheel & Sprocket will lead adult tricycle races and One River School Evanston will host arts and crafts activities. New this year, EvanstonMade is hosting a Maker's Market on the 5th floor of the 1800 Maple Parking Garage right next door featuring over 100 Evanston artists! Admission to the market is FREE with your Evanston Oktoberfest wristband! Please note that Oktoberfest attendees can exit and re-enter but are not allowed to bring alcohol into the parking garage.

All attendees 13 and older must have an admission ticket. Children 12 and younger are free. Below are the types of tickets available. Evanston Oktoberfest is a fundraiser for Downtown Evanston, a nonprofit organization that manages and markets the downtown Evanston business district. Ticket sales support our work to make downtown Evanston a vibrant place to live, work, visit and explore!

Early Bird is $30 (ends September 22) and Regular is $35 (starts September 23 and available day-of)

- Commemorative Oktoberfest stein
- Plenty of beer tastings (you will receive a beer card for twelve 6 oz tastings!)

DESIGNATED DRIVER (all attendees 13 and older; no alcohol)

Additional drink tickets will be available for purchase.

Evanston Oktoberfest will take place at the parking lot behind the Hilton Garden Inn located at 1818 Maple Avenue (the location of the Downtown Evanston Farmer's Market).


Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

All ages welcome but bring your ID if you would like to drink alcohol.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We encourage everyone to take public transportation if possible. The CTA Purple line stops at Davis St. just three blocks away and the Metra North line stops at Davis St., also three blocks away. The event is next to a parking the Maple Ave Parking garage if you have a designated driver. Parking is free on Sunday. There is bike parking inside the Maple Ave. Parking garage.

What can I bring into the event?

Snacks, empty reusable water bottles, sealed plastic waters.

Can I bring my dog?
Service and/or comfort dogs are allowed but otherwise, please do not bring your dog. We love dogs, but due to the City of Evanston health code, cannot have them at this event.

What is not allowed?
Outside alcohol of any kind, guns/firearms, bad attitudes. ;)

Is there an ATM on site?
No, but you don't really need cash! We accept all credit cards to purchase admission tickets, drink tickets, and food vendors accept credit cards. The nearest ATM is at Byline Bank located at 824 Emerson St., about 4 blocks away.

What's the refund policy?

There are no refunds. Event is rain or shine.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, please save the paper. We have a record of your ticket purchase. Thanks!
