Downtown Evanston is excited to host the 2nd Annual Evanston Oktoberfest! Come out with friends and family to enjoy an afternoon of beer tasting, delicious local food, live music and beautiful fall weather! This year, in addition to Evanston breweries and distillery - Smylie Brothers, Sketchbook Brewing Company, Temperance Beer Co., Peckish Pig, and FEW Spirits - the festival will feature new breweries including Ten-Ninety, Half Acre Beer Company, Hopewell Brewing Company, and Alarmist Brewing. Also new this year will be a hard cider option from Farmhouse Evanston!
Back this year to keep you well fed during the event are Smylie Brothers, Peckish Pig, Homestead Meats, Cocina Azteca and new this year, La Cocinita, Farmhouse Evanston and La Principal. Food is available for purchase with cash or credit.
Enjoy music all afternoon presented by Evanston SPACE. DJ Dustin Harris will kick off things off followed by The Dave Specter Blues Band featuring Jimmy Johnson and The Western Elstons.
Kids are welcome and they'll be arts and crafts led by Gather from 2-4pm and big games like Scrabble, Jenga and more going on all day.
Admission to Oktoberfest is $10 for General Admission (GA) or $15 VIP. VIP ticket holders receive a commemorative 8 oz tasting glass, early access to the fest at 1pm and first dibs at FEW Spirits tastings which will only be available until 3pm. General Admission (GA) receive a commemorative 8 oz tasting glass and entry to the festival at 2pm. Kids 12 and younger are free; 13 and older must have a Designated Driver ticket ($10).
Please note that beer tickets are sold separately. You can purchase an admission ticket with beer tickets online (see the ticketing options for details). Each ticket is redeemable for one beer sample.
Evanston Oktoberfest will take place at the parking lot behind the Hilton Garden Inn located at 1818 Maple Avenue (the location of the Downtown Evanston Farmer's Market).
Evanston Oktoberfest is a fundraiser for Downtown Evanston, a nonprofit organization that manages and markets the downtown Evanston business district. Ticket sales support our continued efforts to make downtown Evanston a vibrant place to live, work and play!

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
All ages are welcome, but to receive wristbands for beer, ticket holders are required to show proof of legal drinking age.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The CTA Purple Line and Union Pacific Northline Metra stop at Davis Street, which is just three blocks from the fest location. For those of you with a designated driver, there are several local parking options in downtown Evanston. Please click here for more details. There are also bike racks located in the ground floor of the Maple Avenue parking garage.
What is not allowed at the event?
Please don't bring the following: pets, alcohol, outside food, firearms, fireworks or illegal substances.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
No it is not.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No you do not provided you have your receipt on your smartphone, tablet or computer when you arrive along with an ID showing that you are the purchaser of the ticket. If you purchase multiple tickets, everyone must provide an ID showing they are 21 or older.
What is the refund policy?
There are no refunds and this is a rain or shine event.
