Event description

Description

The Evanston City Council passed an Energy and Water Benchmarking Ordinance in December 2016. The City of Evanston, U.S. Green Building Council - Illinois (USGBC-Illinois) and Citizens' Greener Evanston (CGE) are hosting free benchmarking workshops throughout the winter and spring to help building owners and managers learn about the benchmarking requirements and assist with compliance.

The workshop will provide an overview of the ordinance goals and requirements along with hands-on instruction on setting up your building(s) in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and information on how to gather and enter building energy and water consumption into the tool.

ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager is a free online tool that requires a computer to utilize so please bring your own laptop to the workshop. All levels of knowledge and experience with benchmarking and energy management are welcome!
