Event Details

Jisc and OCLC invite you to participate in a free webinar on 15 July that will demonstrate how the Evaluating Digital Services infoKit can be used to evaluate online behaviours and address various ways of evaluating user engagement.

During the webinar you can:

  • See a demonstration of the Visitors and Residents (V&R) mapping process and how to evaluate modes of current online engagement against the V&R continuum to evaluate academic services
  • Participate in a discussion of the attitudes and issues associated with online engagement
  • Explore a range of possible ways of engaging potential users and providing more resident-oriented services, and
  • Identify user-centred evaluation methods for measuring the effectiveness of services.

The webinar will be of interest to a wide range of staff involved in the delivery of services to students, researchers and staff including: learning and teaching staff, librarians and information specialists, staff developers, learning technologists and student support staff. Participants from both sides of the Atlantic and internationally are welcome to join.

Lorcan Dempsey, vice president, OCLC Research (@lorcanD) is chairing the webinar. Presenters include David White, Head of Technology Enhanced Learning, University of the Arts London (UAL); Lynn Silipigni Connaway PhD, Senior Research Scientist, OCLC; and Donna Lanclos PhD, Associate Professor for Anthropological Research, J. Murrey Atkins Library, University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
