Event description
France is starting to be seen as a central startup hub within the European ecosystem. With €4.5B raised in total, count on France ;)

About this Event

As they do every year, Atomico recently released their 2019 State of European Tech report. It highlights some interesting trends at the European level: 40 $100M+ rounds in Europe last year, purpose-driven startups emerging, pension funds moving to venture... but diversity is still a big issue.

How is France doing in this context? How has our local ecosystem evolved and what direction is it taking? What can we dream about? What should we be afraid of?

Join us to learn more about what’s happening at the macro level, and how to adapt & make good decisions as an entrepreneur. We are honored to host a panel of rockstars:

Tom Wehmeier, Partner & Head of Research at Atomico

Tom is a Partner and Head of Research at Atomico, focusing on research to support the sourcing and evaluation of investment opportunities. Tom also oversees Atomico’s learning program, providing regular all-hands on key technology trends.

Alice Zagury, CEO at The Family

Alice created The Family, a long-term strategic investor that empowers entrepreneurs through education, services and capital, back in 2013. Currently, The Family is operating from Paris, London and Berlin, and has a portfolio of more than 250 startups with a combined valuation exceeding $4B.

Carole Juge-Llewellyn, CEO at Joone & Member of France Digitale’s board

Carole is an artist, former scholar, and a badass serial entrepreneur who launched Joone, a brand of subscription-based, disposable, non-toxic nappies. By being super customer-oriented and transparent regarding the production side of her business, Carole has built an amazing, fast-growing machine with 30+ employees.

Bruno Raillard, Co-founder & Partner at Frst

It’d be just wrong to have this discussion without a local investor. And it’s almost impossible to find a better one than Bruno. His humane approach to VC helped many startups like Payfit, Doctrine and Comet to scale at his previous fund, Otium. He has since launched a new €60M seed fund called Frst, which describes itself as the fund of entrepreneurs’ first believers.

Our events are free & open to everyone. Come enjoy some quality knowledge with us, ask your questions & meet new people :)

See you there!
