Event description

Description

OHDSI’s mission is to improve health, by empowering a community to collaboratively generate the evidence that promotes better health decisions and better care (www.ohdsi.org). As a community we envision a world in which observational research produces a comprehensive understanding of health and disease. OHDSI promotes a collaborative approach to research and has rapidly grown into a vibrant international community. Everyone is welcome to actively participate in OHDSI, whether as a patient, a health professional, a researcher, or someone who simply believes in our cause

The second European OHDSI Symposium called "The Journey from Data to Evidence" aims to explain how OHDSI's methods and tools can be used to obtain reliable evidence. The focus this year will be on live demonstrations of the use of these tools to answer clinical questions.

The symposium is a platform to share results and ideas about the use of the OMOP-CDM, tool development, and future research studies. The day will include a collaborator showcase involving a poster session to highlight OHDSI’s research achievements and interactive demonstrations of OHDSI’s open-source software tools. Also this year we will have lightning talks from selected submissions.

The main symposium will take place on Friday March 29th 2019 at the educational center of the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The draft agenda of the meeting will be made available soon.

There is no fee to attend this symposium.
