About this event
Join Eureka Collab as we welcome storytelling expert and journalist Megan Finnerty to learn about how we can use small talk to make something big, and how we can use meet-and-greets to inspire curiosity!
In this fast-paced, interactive session, Megan will teach you how to talk about - what you do, why you're passionate about it, and who you serve, in under 90 seconds. We will use a worksheet, and you will get a chance to talk about yourself and your business, but you won't be asked to talk about anything uncomfortable or too personal.
The workshop will start promptly at 9:15am, so please arrive before that.
There will be time to mingle & network from 10-10:30am.
More about Megan Finnerty:
McKinley Club member Megan Finnerty is a journalist and storytelling leader who works with individuals, brands and communities to create empathy and strengthen democracy. At Epic at Vox Media, she edits and shapes stories for longform journalism, branded content and Hollywood IP. Previously at the USA TODAY Network, she founded and directed the Storytellers Brand Studio and the Storytellers Project, a nationwide series of live storytelling events. The project helped more than 6,000 people tell stories in front of more than 100,000 ticket holders. Before that, she was a news features reporter at The Arizona Republic for 14 years, and concurrently on-air talent at Channel 12 (KPNX) for three years. She feels strongly about feminism, cocktails, and NPR, and prefers a bold lip to a smoky eye.
