Description

We have the pleasure to invite you to the EU-China Belt & Road Conference, which will take place on Thursday 26 October at 14h00 at the Stanhope Hotel, Rue du Commerce 9, 1000 Brussels. This conference is organized by the EU-China Business Association in close cooperation with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the participation of the European Commission. The conference is also supported by the Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce, which is also leading the EU-China Business Association.

China’s Belt & Road Initiative is the largest connectivity programme on infrastructure in the world. This major initiative will offer many commercial and trade opportunities. Next, to building infrastructure, companies could find business opportunities such as in financial and professional services, agriculture and environment, advanced manufacturing, automotive, energy and resources, telecommunication, E-commerce, logistics and in many other areas.

It is therefore crucial that our European companies are aware of the surroundings of the Belt & Road project so that they can identify opportunities early. The size and complexity of Belt and Road projects mean that many enterprises from China need to partner with foreign companies with globally recognized skills, capabilities, and experience in managing complex international engagements.

During this conference, PwC will present its recent report, Repaving the ancient Silk Routes, which explores the range of opportunities for foreign companies to get involved in China’s Belt and Road initiative, and how to best position themselves for success.

The report will be followed by a presentation of the European Commission on the EU-China Connectivity Platform followed by a roundtable with the industry to discuss their views on this major Belt & Road Initiative.
