Event description

Description

It happens this time each year...

On a morning in October, a cold sun rises over the hills behind East Tennessee State University. Most citizens of Johnson City are still sleeping, blissfully unaware of the sinister figures creeping silently through the fog. You, however, know what they are. And you know what they're looking for...

Luckily for you, ETSU's Department of Physical Therapy has seen this before, and we know what to do. At 9am on October 28th, we will lead the way through the forest trails of East Tennessee State University. Yes, there are zombies in those woods, but it's the only way we can raise money for the Marquette Challenge: a non-profit fundraiser in support of continuing evidence-based research and education in the field of Physical Therapy.

Will you make it out of the forest alive? Or will you join the creeping horde of undead, eternally hungering for the tender young brains of college students? Only one way to find out...

***

Check-in opens at 7am on the day of the race. Follow the signs to the Tri-Hall Field behind Governor's, Centennial, and Davis Halls.

The race steps off at 9am.

Sign up early! You may register up to and including on the morning of the race, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee t-shirt availability for participants who register after October 22nd.

At 8:15am there will be a FREE group warm-up session led by Student Physical Therapists from ETSU's Department of Physical Therapy.

Have fun! Costumes and makeup are encouraged for both zombies and survivors alike, but please DO NOT BRING ANY WEAPONS WHATSOEVER, no matter how fake you think they look.
