Event description
Living Open Source Foundation builds and grow the local economies through skills impacting of the people with the use of the Open Source

About this Event

Open Source Software (OSS) are gaining traction and usage in Africa, albeit slower than in the rest of the world. They issues behind the slow adoption is the lack of local skills with ability to deploy and support of such open source software platforms and services. This lack of local skills has lead to a perception that OSS are in feel or products and should not be used on critical systems. While Africa faces huge economic challenges in its ability to source the licensed commercial products, similar or in many instances better OSS are available and could be deployed at costs affordable to most African markets.

Realizing this, Living Open Source Foundation (LOSF) since December 2018, has embarked on the long-term training programs supported by the Linux Foundation, Pearson IT Certification and ITGilde among others to offer training necessary to build the pool of resources in the OSS platforms and services around Africa, LFCS, Ansible, Kubernetes, Systems Admins

Become LFCS Certified

Thanks to the sponsoring of Linux Foundation, qualifying participant will be sponsored with exam vouchers to take the Linux Foundation Certified Systems Admin for free and Pearson IT Certification,200 training materials vouchers will be provided to the participants.
