"Ethics in the Daily Care of People with Dementia"

Because dementia poses a threat to personal autonomy, ethical dilemmas are bound to arise in caring for those affected. An individual’s need for independence may conflict with one’s need for safety, for example. A tool for ethical decision-making will be explained. Case examples will illustrate ethical issues commonly seen in the course of dementia.

One (1) Continuing Education Hour will be provided to Nurses, Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors, Physical Therapists and Nursing Home Administrators. Please have your License Number with you so you can receive your Continuing Education Certificate at the presentation.

Location: The Selfhelp Home - 908 W Argyle St, Chicago, IL

Date: Thursday, November 7, 2019
