FAQs and recommendations

Room temperature

As many of us have experienced, meeting room can become cool during the day. We recommend that you bring a sweater or the equivalent with you you just in case.

Q: Where is the Ezell Center and where should I park?

A good landmark on campus is the bell tower (See campus map link below). The entrance to the Ezell center is within just a few yards of the bell tower. The recommended parking is in the Arena West Parking Garage (P2) on the campus map which is located about 100 yards southeast of the Ezell Center. ****Note that the Ezell Parking lot depicted on some campus maps has been replaced by a building which is under construction. ****

Campus map: https://www.lipscomb.edu/uploads/14890.pdf (the Ezell Center is #49 on the map). The recommended parking garage is P2 (Arena West).

Q: What are the lunch options?

There will be a one hour break for lunch beginning at approximately 11:45 to 12:00. Staying on campus for lunch is highly recommended. The campus dining hall and/or the food court in the Benett student center are typically open during lunch hours are typically open. The Au Bon Pain cafe is also usually open in the building immediately east of the Ezell Center. Additionally, there are one or two small restaurants immediately east of campus (on the other side of Granny White Pike). Some past seminar participants have found it convenient to bring their own lunch.

Q: Will refreshments be available?

We suggest that you consider bringing your own favorite snacks, coffee/tea, etc. Due to the University's agreements with food service vendors (and in an effort to keep seminar fees affordable) refreshments provided at the seminar will be limited to water bottles. However, there are several options for food and drink on campus including a cafe in the Student Activities Center immediately adjacent to the Ezell Center. (See the note regarding lunch for other food and drink options.) Many past participants have brought their own snacks, coffee and/or lunch.
