Event description

Description

Medical ethics and professionalism are more than expected behaviors, they are core to professional identity. It is vital for physicians to define their role in the culture of medicine, to build trust ensuring quality patient care, effective communication with diverse patients, and advocacy for patient well-being.

The workshop, open to all residents but ideal for PGY1, 2 uses lecture and cases to explore the relationship between values and communication, explain culturally competent care, and identify ways to address health care disparities. Content for the course will also support program education in fulfillment of the following ACGME CLER pathways: Professionalism 1, 2, and Health Care Quality 5.
