Event description

Description

As counselors, we can find ourselves with an ethical dilemma: How to proceed with this client? Is what this client just shared reportable? Can work continue with this client? In situations such as these, it is helpful to have a model to help us to decide what the best next steps would be. In this workshop, counselors will learn about the Ethical Decision-Making Model and how they can use the model to aid in making ethical decisions within their counseling practice.

Presenter: Cynthia M. Canner – MS, LGPC, NCC

Cynthia earned her Master of Science from the Pastoral Counseling Department at Loyola University Maryland. She has experience with individuals, couples, and children, including abuse and trauma. She has worked with members of the military, police, and firefighters, along with their spouses. In conjunction with her studies, Cynthia has done research with clergy and their families. She is an active member in the American Counseling Association, the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling and the Maryland Counseling Association
