Please join us at the Ethereum HK Meetup hosted by the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Chicago, in partnership with the Fintech Association of Hong Kong as we welcome Ethereum Founder Vitalik Buterin for a post-Devcon5 recap and Eth2 overview.

Ethereum has been gaining traction recently with announcements moving it steadily closer to the final Eth2.0 release, as well as other significant developments announced at its recent Devcon5 annual Developer Conference. Vitalik will recap the latest developments and share his vision for the Eth2.0 future.

Vitalik Buterin is the creator of Ethereum He first discovered blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies through bitcoin in 2011 and was immediately excited by it’s potential. He cofounded Bitcoin Magazine in September, 2011 and after two and a half years looking at existing blockchain technology had to offer, wrote the Ethereum white paper in November 2013. He now leads Ethereum’s research team, working on future versions of the Ethereum protocol. Vitalik is a Peter Thiel Fellow grantee.

Jehan Chu is co-Founder and Managing Partner at Kenetic, a blockchain Venture Capital and cryptocurrency trading firm based in Hong Kong. Jehan founded the Ethereum HK community (2014), co-Founded the Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong (2014) and founded the Hyperledger HK community (2016). He serves as co-Chairman of the Hong Kong Fintech Association Blockchain Committee, is enrolled in the Kauffman Fellows Program, and is co-Founder and Board member of Social Alpha Foundation, a blockchain/social impact non-profit.
