California has set a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030. Recent legislation has targeted the doubling of energy efficiency by 2030 for existing buildings and increasing investment for energy efficiency. New residential and commercial buildings will soon be ZNE. These efforts play a critical role in achieving the needed GHG reductions in California.
