Event description

Description

6-12 teachers will further explore the new standards, digging deeper into the instructional components that support successful lesson design. Participants will build a solid understanding of three-dimensional teaching and learning and how to use their resources to implement 3-D into their science lessons. Workshop goals include:

1. Learn about the three dimensions of science that make up our new state science standards.

2. Learn how phenomena relate to our standards and three-dimensional learning

3. Work with grade level standards to identify phenomenon to engage students in a three-dimensional lesson.

4. Draft a lesson idea using the Gather, Analyze, and Communicate strategies to align instruction to the three dimensions.

This event will be hosted by Laura Plas, and will be taking place in the North building in the Oak/Maple rooms.

Sheree Person-Pandil will be presenting.
