ESTRRA Project Official Launch Event
Overview
The Foundation for Sustainable Smallholder Solutions (FSSS), with support from the Heineken Africa Foundation, is hosting the official launch of the Empowerment of Smallholders to Thrive and Build Climate Resilience through Regenerative Agriculture project in Bauchi State. This three-year initiative aims to strengthen climate resilience, improve food security, and boost rural livelihoods for 14,000 smallholder farmers across the Bauchi North Senatorial District.
The launch event will bring together government leaders, development partners, traditional institutions, private sector stakeholders, farmer representatives, and community-based organisations to introduce the vision, expected outcomes, and implementation strategy of the project. Through the Farmers’ Hub model, the programme will promote regenerative agriculture, climate-smart innovations, access to improved seeds, market linkages, and income diversification opportunities, with a focus on empowering women and young people.
The event will feature goodwill messages, a presentation of the project, beneficiary testimonials, a technical session on the Farmers’ Hub model, and the formal unveiling of the initiative. Distinguished guests, including the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, senior government officials, and the Emir of Bauchi, will grace the occasion.
This launch marks a major step in advancing sustainable agriculture in Bauchi State, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that rural households are better equipped to adapt to climate challenges while building prosperous farming communities.
