Course Summary

This course emphasizes the value of digital dentistry in every day  practice. The course will estheticprovide the information to select the appropriate materials for the clinical implant situation and make a diagnosis and treatment plan for the best esthetic outcome for the implant restoration. A systematic approach will facilitate treatments for esthetically demanding patients and treatment sequence will be discussed in detail. 

This course appraises the value of implant dentistry while respecting the esthetic needs of patients. The course will start with emphasizing the normal architecture of hard and soft tissue in the esthetic zone, detecting the defects, proper case selection and risk management.

The course will discuss the techniques and steps necessary to replace single or multiple missing teeth in the esthetic zone with ultimate esthetic and a predictable out come.

We will review new technologies and will discuss both conventional and digital workflow in details. 

Course Presenters 

Dr. ZandyAmirali Zandinejad DDS, MSc

Assistant Professor
Director, Advanced Education General Dentistry Program, Texas A&M University, College of Dentistry

Dr. Zandinejad completed his dental training in 1996. He also completed a residency program in operative dentistry and received his Master degree in restorative dentistry from Sheffield University in the United Kingdom.He completed his AEGD residency and prosthodontic program at the Universityof Rochester in NY. He recently joined the A&M Texas University, College Dentistry as the Director of AEGD residency program. Dr.Zandinejad maintains his practice limited to implants, esthetic dentistry and prosthodontics.

Research Interests:

  • Application and longevityof all ceramic systems.
  • Zirconia in Implant Dentistry.

Current projects:

  • Introducing new technique for reinforcing dental ceramic.
  • Infiltrating ceramic with resin and investigating the mechanical properties.
  • Fracture resistance of all-ceramic crowns supported by implant.

Farhad Botchi DDS, MS:

esthetiBoltchiDr. Boltchi received his dental degree from the Medical University of Hannover in Germany and a Certificate in Periodontics associated with a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Boltchi is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Graduate Periodontics Program at Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, a faculty member of SPEAR/CerecDoctors.com, and also maintains a full-time private practice in Periodontics and Dental implants in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. He teaches and lectures extensively both nationally and internationally on the topics of advanced Periodontics and Dental Implants with a special emphasis on Esthetic Implant Dentistry, Periodontal Plastic Surgical Procedures, and digital implant dentistry and is also actively involved with clinical research projects in these topics. Dr. Boltchi has achieved Board Certification status with the American Board of Periodontology and is a fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI).

Location: Texas A&M College of Dentistry, 6th Floor

Credit: 7 hours lecture and small group discussion

Course Pre-requisites: It is recommended that the attendee have experience with digital scanning however the dentist and staff initially implementing digital workflow in the dental practice is invited to attend. Recommended for dentists, specialists, dental assistants, and dental hygienists. This course is designated for CDE credits and is not promotional in any way.

Course Fee: $275 Dentists; $155 RDH or Aux.

AGD Codes: 780 Esthetics, 784 All Ceramic Crowns, 695 Implant Restoration, 698 Implant Materials

Course Topics and Objectives:

  • Appraise the value of implant dentistry

  • Considerations for implants in the esthetic zone

  • Review the elements of esthetic dentistry


  • Review the normal architecture of hard and soft tissue in the esthetic zone

  • Restorative guided implant dentistry

  • Surgical management of hard and soft tissue defects

  • Implant selection and placement in the esthetic zone

  • Emergence profile and the need for implant supported provisional restoration

  • Review the design of implant supported prosthesis in the esthetic zone

  • Review the materials used for implant supported prosthesis in the esthetic zone: indication and selection.

  • Review the Maintenance and complications
