For anyone affected by ESSENTIAL TREMOR

8th Annual REASONS for HOPE Event

Half-day seminar for people with essential tremor (ET) and their families. Learn more about this neurological disorder and how to live well with ET. Registration is free, but seating is limited. Please register early.

Please register each attendee individually so that we can have the correct names to prepare nametags for the event.


9:30-10 am: Check-in

10-10:45 am: ET overview and update with Dr. Jonathan Snider, Movement Disorder Specialist, VCU Parkinson's and Movement Disorders NOW Center.

11:15 am-12:30 pm: Multidisciplinary Panel includes specialists from VCU (Dr. Jon Snider), UVa (Dr. Matthew Barrett), and VAMC (Dr. Abu Qutubuddin) addressing medical, surgical options (DBS & FUS) and rehabilitation issues and treatment, plus an occupational therapist (Kate Roberts, OT) from the VCU NOW center discussing adaptive and asssitive devices to manage tremor in daily life. Panel will be moderated by Jessica Utt, PA-C, a Physician Assistant at VCU Parkinson's and Movement Disorders NOW Center.

12:30-1:00 pm: Wrap up/Evaluations
