Event description

Description

Developing your nonprofit board of directors is an ongoing process that ensures your board has the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to effectively meet the needs of the organization. This workshop will review the roles and responsibilities of board members, especially in relation to staff.

We will also review best practices for board policies and procedures to make sure the board is acting with the highest ethical standards in mind. This is a valuable orientation for new board members and a great refresher for seasoned nonprofit leaders.

There will be time for Q & A at the end of the session.

Presenter
Dr. Alicia Schatteman, Associate Professor, Department of Public Administration & Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies at NIU

Cost
This workshop is being offered for free by DCNP

This workshop is proudly brought to you by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership (DCNP), Sandwich Area Chamber of Commerce, Sandwich Public Library District, and Fox Valley Older Adult Services.
