Millennials are tech-savvy, adaptable, and creative. However, they have a unique set of expectations and demands: more than a paycheck, they want a sense of pride and fulfillment from their work, a purpose and importantly a company whose values match their own.

In this presentation, Victoria Bethlehem, Head of Human Resources -Asia Pacific with The Adecco Group, will share insights into how they recruit and retain their millennials through global initiatives such as their Win4Youth and CEOFor1Month (CSR) programs.

Areas of discussion will include:

  • Which attraction strategies have worked for The Adecco Group and why
  • What makes their millennials stay – or leave
  • Global initiatives that have had a local impact


Joining the leadership discussion are Prof. Kevyn Yong, Dean of ESSEC Asia-Pacific and Prof. Cedomir Nestorovic, Program Director of the ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA Asia-Pacific program.

Vicotria-Bethlehem-round-image.pngVictoria Bethlehem is the Head of Human Resources, Asia Pacific for The Adecco Group in charge of human resources excellence for multiple Adecco Group brands that include Adecco, Spring Professional, Ajilon, and VSN.

Before moving to her current Asia Pacific role in July 2017, Victoria was the SVP, Global Talent Management, The Adecco Group, based in Zurich, Switzerland. She held this role since December 2012 when she relocated from Sydney, Australia, having held the position of Director of Human Resources, The Adecco Group Australia & NZ, since June 2010.

Prior to joining The Adecco Group, Victoria spent 12 years with Randstad Australia & New Zealand – her last role being Director of People & Development, based in Sydney. She began her career in the staffing & recruitment sector in 1995 with the Kelly Group in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Kevyn-Yong-image.pngProf. Kevyn Yong is the Dean of ESSEC Asia-Pacific and Associate Professor of Management at ESSEC Business School. Before joining ESSEC, he was Associate Professor of Management at HEC Paris and also taught courses at Cornell University and the National University of Singapore.

He has been recognized for teaching excellence, notably being awarded the Pedagogy Innovation Prize by the HEC Foundation in 2011, and making the Dean's Honor Roll at the S.C. Johnson School of Management at Cornell University in 2005 and 2006.

Prof. Yong's expertise includes creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership, particularly design thinking, strategic leadership, and leading change & digital transformation.

Cedomir-Nestorovic-ESSEC.pngProf. Cédomir Nestorovic is Professor of International Marketing & Geopolitics at ESSEC Business School and the Program Director of the ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA Asia-Pacific. He has taught at ESSEC for more than 20 years and is also the Academic Co-Director of the MBA program at the Arabian Gulf University, Manama, Bahrain. Prof. Nestorovic's research interests include the Geopolitics of Central and Oriental European countries; International Marketing and Commerce, and Islamic Business and Managment. Prof. Cedomir was awarded "Professor of the Week" by the Financial Times in 2012.
