The ESP 102 training program provides Eastern Michigan University employees with software tools and skills that help to mitigate common computer security risks associated with stolen credentials and managing passwords.
1) This program is restricted to EMU employees only.
2) To take full advantage of this session, please bring your smartphone and your laptop (Windows or Mac), if you have one. A portion of the session is dedicated to helping attendees install the software on your smartphone and your laptop. If you do not have a laptop, but you use a Windows Desktop, please contact Ben Peters (firstname.lastname@example.org) prior to the session, to configure remote access to your office computer from the computer lab. If you do not have a laptop or a Windows desktop, a lab computer will be available for your use during the session, and you can install the software on your EMU provided computer when you return to your office. If you do not have a smartphone, other options for using 2-factor authentication will be discussed in the session.
3) Please bring your Apple app store or Android Market password to the training session. You will need the password to download the Duo app to your SmartPhone.
4) Early attendees will receive a free LastPass Password Vault license and assistance with using the vault to improve password security. LastPass licesnses will be provided while supplies last on a first come, first served basis.
