A two-day event focusing on Trauma and Critical Care education for prehospital and hospital care providers.
Day 1 Trauma and Critical Care Conference features Will Havron, MD, 2009 UT College of Medicine Chattanooga graduate. Dr. Havron is the Surgery Program Director of Orlando Regional Medical Center. Victims of the mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in June 2016 were treated at Orlando Regional. A question and answer session will follow Dr. Havron's presentation.
Also featured on Day 1 is Karen McQuillan, MS, RN, CNS-BC, CCRN, CNRN, FAAN, Clinical Nurse Specialist at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Nurse McQuillan is past president of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Her "Courageous Care" AACN keynote address will be featured, as well as her experiences with management of acute spinal injuries at Shock Trauma.
Day 2 consists of a Cadaver and Skills Lab focusing on Core Concepts of Trauma Care such as airway management, identification of traumatic injuries and treatments, hemorrhage control, special populations (pediatrics, obstetrics), and crush injury and extrication.
Anticipated CMEs/CEUs include approximately 7 hours on Day 1 and 6 hours on Day 2. Please note ticket prices vary depending upon licensure this year. Processing fee is the responsibility of the participant.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is a parking garage at the Marriott adjacent to Chattanooga Convention Center. A parking voucher will be furnished for each day if you choose to park there. Additional parking garages are available within a few blocks. There is no free parking in the area.

What's the refund policy?
No refunds are available after 5/21/17. Personnel substitutions are okay, but notification is required prior to the day of the event.
What can I bring into the event?
Bring a jacket or sweater to the event. It is generally cold in the meeting rooms; dressing in layers is recommended on both days.
