This training is presented in partnership between the Diversity Council and Rochester Area Foundation.
Module 1 - Inclusivity: Working Toward Proficiency - Tuesday, January 10, 9 - 11am
Module 1 presents and analyzes the human difference spectrum, provides an overview of research on the brain and bias, and provides tools for impacting client interactions in intentional ways.
Module 2 - Intercultural Dynamics - Tuesday, February 14, 9 - 11am
Module 2 focuses on unique facets of human culture and how they present and are interpreted in public settings and client interactions. Participants identify their own cultural norms and contrast with those of others, with consideration of the precept of worldview.
Module 3 - Common Language: Communicating with Respect - Tuesday, March 14, 9 - 11am
Module 3 includes values-based interactive training that develops norms for communication and increases awareness of barriers to interpersonal connectivity. Activities include exploring intent versus impact, the ladder of inference, and reflective listening.
