Event description

This virtual roundtable will bring together various stakeholders to talk about the importance and benefits of school integration, methods available for school integration (specifically focusing on socioeconomic integration), and how school districts can work with local and state officials as well as their communities to design and implement school integration plans.

Dr. Sarah Diem, associate professor of educational policy and leadership at the University of Missouri and an Equity Fellow for the Midwest and Plains Equity Assistance Center, will engage with a panel and the audience in order to provide a clear understanding of socioeconomic integration, discuss why racial and socioeconomic integration is important, and provide a roadmap for how school districts/communities can develop integration plans.

During this roundtable, you are invited to engage in lively conversation with key stakeholders around school integration, discover new resources provided by the roundtable participants, and gain knowledge in order to develop school integration plans that are specific to your geographic and sociopolitical contexts.

Continue the conversation on Twitter with Dr. Diem (@SarahDiem35) and the panel directly after the event using #MAPChat!
