Equity: From the Boardroom to the Classroom

Join WSSDA/WASA/AWSP for a two-day conference intended to increase a district's organizational leadership capacity by providing systemic strategies for equity and access so that all students can achieve at a high level. Dr. Pedro Noguera shares Courageous Leadership strategies essential to this work in his keynote address. District teams will explore:
- Adaptive leadership,
- Core Practices for equity in our schools
- An assessment to define your baseline
- How to apply your new understanding to your district and school (s) equity and access efforts
Teams will leave with actionable next steps to further your work.
Joining us will be exemplar districts from Washington State to share their challenges, successes and strategies to inform your next steps and regional and nation experts.
This conference is designed for district leadership teams that include minimally the superintendent, board member, and principal with others to round out the team of up to 10 members.
A 7:45 AM continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon refreshments will be served daily.
Registration is limited to 250 attendees for this conference.
Can I register for just one day?
No. The content of this workshop builds upon itself to support participants to leave with an actionable next step in equity work for their district. One day participation does not allow that outcome and is not advised.

What is the refund policy?
Full refunds will be provided for cancellations prior to May 19, 2016. A cancellation penalty of $125 per registration will be applied for cancellations on or after May 19, 2016.
