About this Event

**POSTPONED TO LATER DATE (TBA)**

Diversity can refer to many things: race and ethnicity; gender and sexual orientation; backgrounds and lived experiences; abilities and disabilities. Equity means we believe all members of our communities deserve respect and equal opportunity to thrive.

Join UC San Diego’s Center for Research on Educational Equity, Assessment & Teaching Excellence (CREATE) for a workshop that will provide an opportunity to learn more about issues surrounding equity, diversity and inclusion through a STEM lens. Attendees will partake in a meaningful dialogue, hands-on activities and brainstorming with other community partners about ways to serve with intentionality.

Our vision is to help create learning and working environments where all feel welcomed and valued in the classroom and workplace.

-----

This free workshop has limited capacity. Please be sure to register on Eventbrite, and let us know ahead of time if you need to cancel so we can open up your seat to another learner.

----

The San Diego Zoo Dickinson Center for Lifelong Learning can be found to the left of the Zoo's entrance. Head down Centennial Walkway, and you will reach the Dickinson Family Center just before Spanish Village.

----

This workshop is being hosted by the San Diego STEM Ecosystem Environmental Education working group, as part of their ongoing workshop series. Learn more about the STEM Ecosystem and how to get involved at sdstemecosystem.org.
