Event Information
About this Event
North Sound YFC is actively recruiting young people to lead YFC in a youth-centered, data-driven project to improve behavioral health services for young people in our region – that’s mental health and substance use treatment. Coming from an intersectional, antiracist framework, this project is designed to foster youth leadership by giving them all of the information and tools they need to develop and conduct a research project, make data-driven recommendations to YFC, create a youth-led outreach plan that is truly inclusive, and recommend changes to YFC that support our vision of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The time commitment is approximately 20 hours, spread out over 14 weeks via Zoom. Space is limited. We are prioritizing participation of young people who are in recovery from a mental health or substance use disorder; are Black, Brown, or Indigenous; and/or are LGBTQ+.
