Equipping the Faith Community to End Child Maltreatment

Come network and learn with the Faith Community about the impact of child maltreatment and how we can help end it. Learn about the spiritual impact of child maltreatment, how Scripture can be used and misused in addressing abuse and neglect, how to collaborate between the faith and mental health communities, and practical actions we can all take to support children and families who may be at risk of or impacted by child maltreatment. Speakers include Victor Vieth, JD (Zero Abuse Project); Pete Singer, MSW, LICSW (Advanced Trauma Consulting and Care in Action Minnesota); and a panel featuring Lynn Lewis (Bethany Christian Services), Lisa Welter (Safe Families for Children), Associate Pastor Andre Dukes (Shiloh Temple International and the North Side Achievement Zone), Kelis Houston (The Village Arms for African American Youth and Families Impacted by Child Protection), Andrew Lemmie (Connections to Independence (C2i)), and June Baker (Connections to Independence Alumni and Independent Living Skills Counselor).
