Equine Workshop: Level 1

About this Event

A rare opportunity to learn from one of the UK’s most experienced exotic animal trainers!

Would you like to build trust and understanding between you and your equines?

This exciting interactive one-day workshop is perfect for equestrians and equine lovers who may or may not have previous experience and would like an introduction to equine training.

This workshop is targeting professionals or individuals hoping to gain education and experience with equine care. Participants will be able to learn from an expert animal educator to expand their knowledge of equine care and husbandry techniques. This hands-on workshop is a great way to gain experience that can improve your skills with equines to create a safer environment for both human and animal for daily tasks, veterinary/health needs and emergency situations.

In this workshop you will learn key skills in applied equine behavior and communication. This course focuses on emphasizing positive reinforcement with an introduction to learning theory including ABC’s, training planning and lots more! You will be able to observe demonstrations using these techniques and gain hands-on practical experience with equines under Emma’s expert supervision.

With widely documented successful outcomes, this gentle approach to animal training is the preferred approach for professional trainers of a wide range of species.

At the end of the workshop you may receive a "Certificate of Completion" from the Big Cat Habitat!

*Note* A light breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participants. (You are welcome to bring your own lunch)
