A webinar and panel discussion for parents, teachers, Council staff, community leaders and those working with and supporting young people.

About this event

This event explores some of the key challenges for young people today around gender equality, respectful relationships and support for parents and schools in this space.

We will discuss the drivers of gender-based violence and how these can impact the health, wellbeing and safety of young people of all genders.

Join keynote speakers:

  • Anoushka Dowling and Michael Jeh from the MATE Program

And panelists:

  • Kristy Lang and Paul Zappa - Respectful Relationships Program, Department of Education and Training
  • Zoe Francis (WHISE) and Gemma Paton (CBCHS) - Delivering the Critical Friends Network to support local schools with implementing Respectful Relationships education.

An opportunity for audience Q&A is included.

This event is part of the international 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and supported as part of Kingston's Prevention of Family Violence Action Plan 2019-2021.
