Equal Pay Day: A Lunch and Learn Event
Tue, March 28, 2017, 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM EDT
It is far beyond time to improve women's salaries. In the state of Florida, a woman makes 87 cents on average for every dollar a man makes as of 2017.
Attend the Equal Pay Day Lunch and Learn Event to:
- Hear the personal stories of women impacted by pay inequity right here in Jacksonville.
- Learn what actions you can take to help eliminate pay disparity in the United States.
- Receive more information about the Helen Gordon Davis Fair Pay Act - Senate Bill 410 and House Bill 319, jointly introduced by Senator Linda Stewart and Representative Lori Berman, which aims at closing the pay gap in Florida.
- Network with other influential leaders in the city of Jacksonville that are committed to achieving fair pay for women.
We invite you to wear red as a demonstration of support, since women are still in red when it comes to fair pay.
Individual tickets: $20
The duration of this event is an hour and a half long, therefore attendees should expect to depart around 1:30 p.m.
