Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

As a parent we can often feel overwhelmed when we consider the challenges our young students face. When kids have to adapt to all the changes around them, try and navigate external influences like social media, maintain their friendships and perform well in school, sometimes it gets hard. And then they have to face leaving high school and moving on to becoming an adult in the adult world. Sometimes kids struggle emotionally and react in different ways.

So how can you support your child to become resilient as they transition into independence? What can you do in the early years so by the time high school and university come along they're excited, confident and curious about the journey ahead?

Building Resiliency with Emotional Intelligence

In this workshop, Dagmar Meachem from Courage Space Coaching, will share with you the link between success in life and emotional intelligence, starting with kids in their early years. And for older teens and young adults, this can make all the difference in their academic and personal lives and when dealing with change and transitions.

What you will learn:

★ What Emotional Intelligence is and how developing it is linked to academic achievement

★ 5 areas of Emotional Intelligence and how they relate to being personally effective through change

★ Tips on how students can build resilience and strengthen their 'emotional' immune system

★ Tools and resources to help your student improve their overall emotional intelligence

To RSVP purchase your ticket(s) via the ticket options. Seats are limited so please RSVP ahead of time to reserve your seat(s). And if you know of someone who might be interested, bring a friend, share the word. Let's all make future leaders out of our kids!
