The Exeter Inn and Epoch Restaurant and Bar are proud to present our first Outdoor Dining Series! First up, Southern Comfort! Join us in our lush private courtyard on Wednesday August 14th from 5-8pm where locally renowned Chef’s, Desmond Smith and Brendan Vesey showcase their culinary talents with a southern flair.

About the Chefs:

Chef Desmond Smith, Executive Chef of Epoch Restaurant and Bar in Exeter, NH, has a passion for cooking that started at the age of 14. Chef Des has spent years perfecting his craft all around the world and serving as Chef de Partie at Ritz Carltons in both Florida and St. Thomas. Most recently he has was with the popular Portsmouth Brewery, then transitioned to assist in the operations of their sister property Hayseed Restaurant in Hampton, NH.

Chef Brendan Vasey is the Chef and General Manager of Joinery Restaurant in Newmarket, NH as well as Chef and Owner of the Botanica Restaurant and Gin Bar in Portsmouth, NH. While studying foreign affairs at the University of Virginia, Chef Brendan decided to make the culinary arts his profession. After completing his service obligation as a Naval Officer, Chef Brendan traded one white uniform for another. His upbringing in Virginia and his relationships with local producers continue to inspire his menus to this day.
