The 2017 Diocesan Convention will have its official start at 9 a.m. on Friday, October 27.

Our keynote speaker will be the Right Reverend Katharine Jefferts Schori, former Presiding Bishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church.

REGISTRATION

Online registration for all Lay Delegates, Canonical Clergy, Alternate Delegates, Visitors, and Non-Canonical Clergy will close October 20.

Registration for Lay Delegates and Canonical Clergy: Registration as a lay delegate or canonical clergy is $30.00 per person with a deadline of Saturday, September 30. If you choose to pay by check, it must be received in the diocesan office by that date. Payments received after September 30 or submitted at the door will be $50.00 per person even if registration was prior to September 30.

Beginning October 1, late registration for lay delegates and canonical clergy will continue online at a cost of $50.00 per person.

Registration for Alternate Delegates, Visitors, and Non-Canonical Clergy: Registration for alternate delegates, visitors, and non-canonical clergy will be $10.00 per person at all times. People registering as visitors, alternates, and non-canonical clergy are welcome to attend all business and worship sessions and register for the special events listed below.

SPECIAL EVENTS

These events are open to all registered attendees. Registration for all special events will close Friday, October 20.

Hospitality Event: There will be a program Thursday night at 6 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Salem, including a light supper and a presentation on creating a refugee-welcoming congregation by Doug and Anya Holcomb of Salem for Refugees. Tickets for the meal and program are $10 must be purchased ahead of time. Evensong will be held at 7:30 and all are welcome to join (no ticket required).

ECW Luncheon: There are 100 spots available for the ECW Luncheon on Friday at a cost of $20. In the registration process, you will be prompted to choose an entree. The guest speaker will be Richard Schori, author, professor, and husband of the Rt. Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori.

Banquet: The banquet will be Friday at 6 p.m. The cost will be $35 per person. In the registration process, you will be prompted to choose from a list of entrees, all of which include salad and dessert.

Breakfast for Non-clergy Partners & Spouses of Clergy: This Saturday morning breakfast is open to all non-clerical partners and spouses of clergy and will cost $20. The breakfast will be the "Salem Sunrise," which consists of Scrambled Eggs with Cheddar & Scallions, Herbed Breakfast Potatoes, and Crisp Premium Bacon.

HOTEL INFORMATION

There are a block of rooms set aside for October 26 & 27 at The Grand Hotel in Salem. The rates are $124 for single occupancy and $134 for double occupancy, and these prices are available until October 1 or until all the available rooms are reserved, whichever happens first.

REFUND POLICY

If you need to cancel your registration, you must submit a request to Tracy Esguerra (tracye@diocese-oregon.org or 503-636-5613). Refund requests must be made by October 12.
