Serve on a Board, Save the World AND Advance Your Career

This session is intended for EPIP members and other emerging professionals who have not served on a nonprofit board, but would like to learn how to become a board member of a nonprofit organization. Dan and Emily will discuss reasons why you should serve on a board and how it can advance your career. They will also provide basic information you need to know before serving as a board member, and will dispel any myths about board service. Finally, resources will be provided on how to locate an appropriate nonprofit seeking board members. There will be plenty of time for Q&A, so bring your questions.
