This year the ESOA Epic Encounter celebrates the 10 million women entrepreneurs in the U.S.! Women own 36% of all businesses and employ over 8 Million employees other than the owner, and they generate 1.4 Trillion in receipts.
I’m excited to announce that the keynote speaker for this year’s event will be Erica Nicole, Founder and CEO of YFS Magazine®. Erica Nicole makes headlines as a small business expert source by serving up fresh, provocative and insanely addictive behind-the-scenes business know-how. One of the most dynamic, young female serial entrepreneurs of her generation and hailed by Visa Business as an industry thought leader. Named one of ‘15 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch by Entrepreneur magazine. As an entrepreneurial change-agent, Erica Nicole, and her work, has been featured or mentioned in national media outlets including Forbes, Bloomberg Businessweek, Ebony Magazine, Fox Business, MSN Business on Main, MSNBC Your Business, The Huffington Post, Black Enterprise, Supplier Diversity Review, American Express OPEN Forum, Business Insider, AllBusiness.com, Mashable, AOL.com, Slate Magazine,Examiner.com. Later this month Erica will be sharing the stage with Sir Richard Branson at İstanbul TALKS Inspired 2016, a global entrepreneurship conference, but on October 18th 2016 she will be talking to ESOA!
Funds raised through the Epic Encounter event will help support the ESOA Hatchlings program where our goal is to provide mentoring and scholarships for young and budding entrepreneurs and inventors in the region’s elementary, middle and high schools. This year will feature winners of the Thomas Alva Edison Regional Inventors Fair and ESOA Hatchling and the winners of the Collier County INCubator@ccps.edu Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition.
Our goal this year is to raise $10,000. Only 40 out of 200 seats are still available, act now, before this event sells out!
