GAGE OF THE BOONE///
A piece centered around objects in space, involving textural sculpture/ costume, color and soundscape. Exploration of ever changing aftercare for different intense situations.

AFTERCARE: in this work, gage of the boone explores taking new steps. The title references someone who has gone through an intense consentual experience that may have pushed boundaries. Although it suggests S&M aftercare, it could suggest medical aftercare, this is more of an outlook on limits, balance and care in a quieter space.

Alison Clancy///
RE|VERSE
to reverse, move backwards, send backwards
i got in a car, reversed it, and drove it up the driveway
make something the opposite of what it was
the exchange of two people or things
the experimenter and the subject reversed roles and the experiment was repeated
OB|VERSE
facing the observer or opponent
conversion,
the other side of something
the quality of the proposition changed, a shift in perspective
it is valid in all four forms

Alison Clancy is an NYC artist working across the time based mediums of dance, music, and visual media. Her artistic endeavors are centered around the pursuit of beauty and catharsis; pushing the edges of contemporary dance and pop music, with the depths of somatic practice and visual design to enter otherworldly highways—the lost intersection where we search for ourselves in the shadows.

Nicholas Motyka///
Born in the suburban pits of Western Massachusetts, the magic of movies and movie making entranced Motyka from a very young age. After two years at film school, Motyka dropped out and went wandering into New York City searching for a way to continue his exploration into cinema. It was in the lower East Side where he met Willard Morgan and Ideal Glass Studios, eventually forming a wildly productive and long lasting collaboration into filmmaking.

This Short film was selected New York Japan Cine Festival Showing at Asian Society on 6/6.
