EPA Civil Rights Title VI Research Triangle Park Public Listening Session B
Fri, January 15, 2016, 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM EST
On December 1 2015, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Civil Rights (OCR) released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), a modification to EPA’s nondiscrimination regulation, allowing EPA to more strategically manage its administrative complaint docket by tailoring the appropriate resolution path to each complaint based on the unique factual pattern and legal issues presented and by clarifying EPA’s authority to conduct proactive compliance reviews and collect critical compliance data. The proposed changes bring the office’s regulation into conformance with those of more than twenty other federal agencies.
On January 15th, in Research Triangle Park, OCR will host a public meeting to present the proposed modifications, address questions, and provide an opportunity for public comments. There will be three concurrent sessions in order to accommodate perspective attendees’ schedules. It is recommended that those interested in attending only attend one session, as the agenda will be the same for each. Comment cards will be available for those wishing to submit written comments.
If you would like to attend, please register by clicking the green button above.
Note:Comment cards will be available for those wishing to submit written comments. If you would like to provide comments orally, please make sure to register with a speaking time ticket at the session you choose. You will receive a follow-up notification with the approximate time you will be speaking. Comments are limited to three minutes per person. If you wish to attend and listen, but not speak, please choose a “general admission” ticket. If you are a member of the press, please choose a “press” ticket. Admission for all tickets is free.

If you will need an interpreter for this meeting or translated documents, in a language other than Spanish, please contact Jeryl Covington or Brittany Martinez at the Office of Civil Rights at (202) 564-7272.
