State Emergency Operations Center (EOC) 101 Class
This class will give you an introduction of what the State Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is comprised of and you will learn how the State supports local jurisdictions when an event overwhelms their capabilities. By the end of the course, you will understand how the EOC becomes the central information point for an event through gathering, analyzing, tracking, displaying, distributing, and storing information gathered from our stakeholders. You will also have a better understanding how information pertaining to the event is received and analyzed, how incident priorities are determined, and how strategies are developed.
Prerequisite: An understanding of which role you will be working in the EOC, ex.-state agency representative, call taker, point of contact, or resource unit.
