Greenheart Transforms’ upcoming Envisioneers event is a series of talks led by local leaders who are transforming the Chicago scene and serving as global examples for positive change. Chicago community members will have an opportunity to learn about change-makers making a difference at a community level inspiring a global shift in various fields such as environmentalism, social enterprise, education, spirituality and more. There will be time for the audience to mingle, network, and enjoy organic snacks and wine before and after the presentations. 


Presentations will be 15 minutes long to share a brief overview of the change each presenter is making in Chicago. There will be time afterwards to learn more details informally. The audience is expected to be a diverse group of 60 people.

Hear from Stacy Ratner founder of the non-profit, Open Books. “Once you learn to read,” said Frederick Douglass, “you will be forever free.”  Hear about how Chicago’s freedom is challenged by its literacy rates, what one local organization is doing to help, and how you can be part of the solution.

Learn from Coleman Franklin, co-founder of Better Bag, about a bio-plastic designed to help reduce the overuse of plastics and encourage composting as a means of organic waste management.
